Where can i get magellan triton GPS maps from? and are they free or do they cost?

i purchased a magellan triton 300 gps for my husband but it come from the usa so i need to download a compatible map for the uk xan anyone tell me where i can find one the shop i bought it off said it was a quick free download but i cant seem to find one can anyone help me please thanks
