Why do African Americans know so little about their history?

The crime rate is probable so high amongst blacks that they couldn't answer a question about relatives. Either they committed a crime black on black crime and stole the family safe with the documents in it or their in state prison. Blacks are the largest prison population group in the USA and they work for like 10 cents a hour and most of their victims are blacks. Blacks have the highest crime rates in their neighborhoods.
